Centre for Youth Voice: launching our 2027 offer

Join the Centre for Youth Voice and the Network of Regional Youth Work Units for a two-hour online session launching our offer for 2027. We'll set out the Centre's plans for the year ahead, launch our new data repository with a live walk-through, and open the 2027 training programme. You'll also hear directly from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) on the latest developments in youth-led funding and the Youth Matters national youth strategy.
The session is for anyone working to give young people a meaningful say in decisions. That includes youth workers and participation leads, commissioners and funders, researchers and evaluators, policy makers, and young people involved in youth voice work.
What we'll cover
- Centre for Youth Voice: plans for the future. Where the Centre is heading in 2027 across our three areas of work: Insight, Involve and Impact. We'll cover what's new, what's continuing, and how practitioners and young people can get involved.
- Launch of the data repository. A live walk-through of our new online tool, which brings research and evidence on youth voice and young people's lives together in one searchable place. We'll show you how to find what you need and how it can support funding bids, evaluation and service design.
- Youth-led funding, with The National Lottery Community Fund. The Fund will share developments in youth-led funding: how young people are being involved in grant-making decisions, what funders are learning, and what this means for organisations that want to share power over money with young people.
- Youth Matters, with DCMS. DCMS will give an update on Youth Matters, the government's ten-year national youth strategy. The focus will be on its commitment to giving young people a much stronger role in decisions and what that means for youth voice practice locally and nationally. youthandpolicyyorkshiresport
- Training offer for 2027. We'll launch the new training programme, with monthly sessions delivered by trainers from across the country. We'll share the dates and topics and explain how to book.
